Volunteers come from other regions/states to help San Diego churches when ministry needs arise. SDSBA maintains relationships with partnering churches and organizations. Requests can also be made through SEND North America.

Engagement in Disaster Relief efforts, when extreme weather conditions threaten the region – California Southern Baptists have an army of trained disaster relief workers that bring mobile kitchens, showers, and more, when needed, as well as members of VOAD – Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster
