My name is Pastor Omar Timal. I am the Pastor of Rock Baptist Church (Iglesia Bautista La Roca) in Ensenada California, Mex.
I planted The Rock Baptist Church and have been pastoring it for 8 years. My wife’s name is Adelayda, and we are very grateful to our Lord for letting us serve Him. Thanks to our Lord, we have seen many people accept Jesus as Savior by faith, and that is a blessing. It is more joyful to see how the Lord is transforming brothers´ lives into a new one with the Lord´s presence in them.
My wife and I are coming to you to present a medical financial need we are facing with our daughter Eliana; she is 23 and was born with an aortic artery closed, which is called aortic coarctation. I must mention that my wife and I didn’t know about our daughter's condition until last year after medical exams.
Eliana did not have any problems during her childhood or teen years. However, last year, she started showing symptoms such as passing out, dizziness, loss of touch feeling, and impairment. After heart exams, the cardiologist presented the case to us, explaining that her heart already demands more blood to sustain the body. She needs a stent implanted inside the aortic artery. We tried a government hospital, but Ensenada doesn’t provide that kind of medical service, and private insurance didn´t want to help us since they noticed that medical testing was done before the medical diagnosis.
We need to go to a private-sector hospital, and the cost of surgery is something we can’t cover ourselves at the moment. The total cost for surgery, medical, and hospital services is $6,900. We have been covering the medication cost to keep Eliana’s condition stable. But we know that Eliana needs the surgery to prevent a bigger problem with her physical condition.
